A book summary infographic of the cult classic "John Dies at the End" by Jason Pargin.
Thought Process:
I chose the most recently released book cover for my overall design and took the colors from the cover as my theme.
Because the book is a comedy, I wanted to express this by using a tongue-in-cheek tone in my writing and chose the icons used.
I chose the most important information to include in the infographic to pique the reader's interest without giving away any spoilers in the story.
Since the book did not have photos of the characters, I took the photos from the "John Dies at the End" (2012) film.
All of my sources are found at the bottom of the infographic.
Below are examples of my work redesigning instructional documents to align with brand guidelines. Due to confidentiality agreements, I am unable to share specific details about certain corporate projects. However, I have provided representative visuals to convey the overall scope and approach of these documents.
The company I worked for rebranded for 2025, and my specific department needed an updated version of their talking points. I stripped away the bulky lining around the document and replaced it with a clean and minimalist line inside the header. I brought the margins out wider and allowed an even spacing so the document did not look compressed. I moved the logo to the right side to align with the brand design and removed the logo from the bottom left side. This was due to a new requirement that only the wordmark would be allowed in that location. My main goal was to create a minimalist and professional look that wasn’t distracting to the reader.
I followed the same principles I used in the Talking Points when I created the Frequently Asked Questions page: widened the margins, removed the bulky page liner, evened out spacing, and moved the logo to the top right-hand side of the page. Finally, I removed the lower left logo to adhere to the new wordmark location. Again, my goal was to create a minimalist and professional look while I continued to adhere to brand guidelines.
More projects to come!
